Hutchinson Health events and classes

At Hutchinson Health, we provide a variety of events and classes for education and support. Whether you’re looking for a nutrition program or childbirth classes, check out our upcoming events and classes.

A medical crisis can happen at any age, so it’s a good idea to have health care plans for the future. Advance care planning is an important step to ensure you get the medical care you want, even if family members are making the decisions for you. Advance care planning involves identifying a health care agent who can help with medical decisions, and developing a written health care directive – a plan for your future medical treatments.

Our trained facilitators can help you initiate conversations, provide assistance with advance care planning, and communicate wishes to your family, friends and doctor.

Our informational meetings are designed to educate you on advance care planning, and offer you the option to schedule a free individual session with a facilitator to develop a personalized advance care plan. If you have a health care directive that you would like to review at the session, please bring a copy with you.

Advance Care classes are the 2nd Thursday at 3:00 P.M. of each month at Hutchinson Health Hospital.

Grieving is painful for everyone, but the death of a baby presents a very difficult form of grief. Often family and friends are well-meaning, but aren’t always able to give parents the support they need.

Through our Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group, you can find support from those who understand your intense grief – other parents who have lost a baby. Come to a confidential, safe place to share your feelings and learn helpful coping strategies. This group is free and no registration is required.

This class is currently not meeting, but we are still here to support you. If you would like to talk to someone, please call April Schumacher at 320-484-4621.
