Visiting a patient at Olivia Hospital & Clinic
At Olivia Hospital & Clinic, we believe that support from family and friends can be incredibly valuable for healing. That’s why we encourage you to visit, and offer a range of amenities to help you feel welcome while you do.
We don’t limit family members to blood relatives. Instead, we let our patients tell us which guests are part of their family. All other visitors are welcome between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. This helps keep the hospital quiet to ensure a healing environment for all of our patients.
Additional information about visiting hours:
Quiet time: 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Looking for comfort food that’s both healthy and delicious? The Healthy Way Café is available to you for a snack, meal or a simple cup of coffee. It’s conveniently located straight down the hall from the hospital, and is open from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Note: The grill closes at 6 p.m.)
Please check with the nurse before bringing any food or drinks to patients.
"I’m so thankful for the Healthy Way Café. Being pregnant, I’m restricted to eating certain foods, and need them prepared in a particular way. The café staff are always so accommodating and willing to go that extra step for me. I really appreciate it."
Comfortably furnished waiting areas are available for patients’ families throughout the hospital. For a quiet moment, please ask for directions to our private M.E. Rauenhorst Family Chapel. Pastors from the community are available to help meet your spiritual needs. To connect with these services, please talk to your nurse.
Many find comfort and healing by spending time in the peace of nature. Alma’s Garden is a calm place of respite located just outside the hospital’s main entrance. The space was a gift from patient Alma Gaukstad Lien, and all patient rooms have windows facing the garden to enhance the healing environment.
Patients and families may access Alma’s Garden by using the main hospital entrance or the east end of the Inpatient Corridor. Note: The east entrance requires a security badge. You can ask for access at the nurse’s station during visiting hours.
