Intensive care unit
In the Regions Hospital intensive care unit, you’re in good hands whenever you need us
When a loved one is hospitalized, it can be stressful and scary. But you can feel confident knowing that they are in the expert hands of the critical care team at Regions Hospital.
The doctors, nurses and advanced practice clinicians in the intensive care unit (ICU) have specialized training in critical care medicine, and work together to provide care as quickly and safely as possible. We have the skills, knowledge and experience to provide timely assessment and treatment, ensuring the best possible outcomes for you and the ones you love.
Visiting the intensive care unit (ICU)
Visiting your loved one in the ICU can give them comfort and help with their recovery. While we have standard visiting hours, it’s possible to visit your loved one at any time. Please talk with their care team if you want to visit outside regular visiting hours. When you arrive at the Regions Hospital ICU, you’ll be greeted by someone who will give you special instructions on how to find your loved one.

Rehabilitation to help you regain your strength
The
Transitional care to bridge the gap between hospital and home
Transitional care is short-term, intensive rehabilitation. During your time in transitional care, you’ll receive physical, occupational and respiratory therapy, and nursing care designed to help you transition back to your home with confidence.
Getting you the support you need at home
If going home is the best course of treatment, we’ll work with you and your loved ones to create a care plan. Our team will show your caregivers how to continue your recovery at home, answer your questions and help you schedule any necessary follow-up appointments.
