We’re here to help you understand your bill and insurance coverage. If you have any questions about your hospital charges or financial assistance, our patient account representatives are available to help from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. We know that health care costs can add up quickly. We offer financial assistance so you can afford the medical care you need. To learn more, please call our patient account representatives at 715-531-6200.
To apply for financial assistance, you must either apply online with your HealthPartners online account or fill out an application form. If you fill out an application form, it must be returned to Hudson Hospital & clinic in person, by mail or by fax. Patients will need to provide documentation verifying income (such as a federal income tax return) and information about health insurance coverage (such as Medicaid, Medicare or private insurance).

Knowing how much your medical care will cost before you visit a doctor can help you plan for upcoming health care needs. Here are some helpful resources to help you estimate the cost of care at Hudson Hospital & Clinic.
Our patient account representatives are here to help you understand the costs of different procedures. You’ll talk to a real person and get a detailed estimate. All you have to do is answer questions about the services you need, then we’ll walk you through information about surgeries, imaging tests, lab work and other treatment options. Remember, this is just a cost estimate. Actual charges may be different based on the services you need.
You can use our online patient estimate tool to get a cost estimate and learn about how much you’ll likely pay out-of-pocket.
The federal government requires hospitals to post their standard charges reflecting each inpatient and outpatient service and item provided by the hospital.
Our standard charges may be far different from the amounts you are expected to pay. We have negotiated varying discounts with Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance plans.
The Wisconsin Hospital Association provides additional information about our charges, as well as charges at other hospitals through a website called Price Point. The website allows you to access service cost information for the top 75 inpatient and outpatient procedures performed at Wisconsin Health Care Facilities, including Hudson Hospital & Clinic. Medical facilities report data to the Wisconsin Hospital Association Information Center on a quarterly basis, making recent charge and pricing information available to consumers.
We aren’t able to tell you which services your insurance covers. If you aren’t sure, the best thing to do is call the number on the back of your insurance card.
